Notion is everywhere — and that's exactly the problem. Arbitrary documents, arbitrary tables, arbitrary databases in a tool nobody keeps tidy. Conecct forces a clear structure and runs on German servers.
Notion is brilliant for writing — and chaotic in team operations. After 18 months, every team has its own database structure, nobody finds anything, and critical information disappears inside nested pages. The data-protection question makes it harder: Notion runs on AWS in the United States, and the EU region is only available on the Enterprise plan (as of 2025). For European SMBs that means: either expensive Enterprise or US hosting. Conecct takes a shortcut: tasks are tasks (Tasks module), files are files (Media module), chat is chat — no 47 freely configured databases to maintain.
Conecct Notion
Six axes where the two differ. Notion wins several — we say so.
| Criterion | Conecct | Notion |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting & data residency | Hetzner Falkenstein, Germany · standard | AWS USA · EU region only on Enterprise |
| Free-form document structuring | No — fixed modules (tasks, media, chat) | Yes — arbitrary pages, databases, templates |
| Structured tasks (Kanban, due date, assignee) | Built in, no configuration required | Possible via database templates, needs configuration |
| AI-assisted writing | Pixzl.AI for email replies and task descriptions | Notion AI — very mature writing assistant |
| Real-time collaborative document editing | Not primary — Conecct isn't a docs tool | Strength — Google-Docs-style co-editing |
Notion
Notion is the best tool in the world for writing long, well-structured documents in a team — wikis, onboarding guides, strategy decks. Notion AI is a real productivity lever. If that's your use case, Notion is the right choice and Conecct isn't. Conecct is built for operational work (tasks, calendar, chat), not knowledge management.

Notion Conecct
Notion exports each workspace as Markdown + CSV. Task-style Notion databases convert to Conecct tasks; wiki pages typically don't move — either keep Notion in parallel for docs or use a dedicated wiki tool like Outline. We're honest: Conecct replaces Notion as a task tracker, not as a wiki. Email support@conecct.app — we'll plan the migration with you.
FAQ
No — not for wiki / documentation. Conecct is built for operational work (tasks, chat, mail, calendar). If you primarily use Notion as a team wiki, switching doesn't make sense; keep Notion for docs and use Conecct for the rest.
Task-style databases (with status / assignee / due date) yes, via CSV export → Conecct tasks. Free-form Notion pages with embedded databases don't transfer cleanly.
Conecct has its own AI module (Pixzl.AI) for email replies and task descriptions, but it isn't a writing AI like Notion. For writing assistance, Notion AI remains better.
No — Conecct doesn't have freely configurable page templates. Recurring structures are baked in (task schema, project schema). That's a deliberate design choice: less flexibility, less maintenance.
